Commercial Education Specialist

Position Overview:

The Commercial Education Specialist will be responsible for the on-going creation of compelling, commercial training that will enhance the customer and employee experience. The critical administrator of the education department, this role will oversee the Curriculum Calendar for all regional education teams and be responsible for maintaining critical cross-functional timelines to ensure a globally consistent consumer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable to the production of meaningful and relevant communications and trainings using relevant platforms including Brandlive or in-house studio productions
  • Oversee total curriculum calendar in relationship to annual Product, Commercial, and Marketing goals
  • Create and distribute Launch Execution Guides complete with strategic direction and merchandising best practices ahead of every product launch
  • Distribute internal updates to key cross-functional partners to drive connectivity to Canada Goose Home Office and strategic commercial direction while enhancing employee engagement
  • Work closely with Corporate Communications to foster proficiency in messaging and align all brand communications
  • Drive the training scheduling and education validations for the launch of all new products and collections
  • Support the enhancement of the Customer Experience, as measured by Net Promoter Score, through the on-going communication of achievements and opportunities
  • Work closely with marketing, merchandising, and design departments to ensure integrity and alignment of all communications
  • Ensure all communications are available in global languages

Experience, Education and Designations:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in one or a combination of the following industries: apparel or retail industry, top-tier consulting firm or investment bank
  • Proven ability to analyze, evaluate and make recommendations on strategic questions
  • Undergraduate degree with high achievement, in a discipline that teaches quantitative and qualitative analysis and critical thinking (e.g., business, marketing, engineering, law)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer competence in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Must be fluent in English

  • Can understand ‘the big picture’ and exercise good business judgement
  • Can structure, break down and solve complex business issues
  • Strong planning and organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and multitask effectively
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, changing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Able to partner with other functions/business leaders on complex problems and business issues
  • Strong understanding of retail and apparel industry, up-to-date on industry events and hold perspective on major issues
  • Ability to analyze financial reports

Working Conditions:

  • Typical office environment - combination of desk work + active meeting facilitation
  • On-location content production may be required (~10%)
