Our client, a leader in door and window manufacturing located on the North Shore, is currently looking for a production supervisor to join their day team.

Under the responsibility of the plant manager, you will have to:

  • Manage a team of 15 employees.
  • Supervise, plan and organize employee tasks to ensure smooth operations of paint production department.
  • Design, implement and research improvements in quality, productivity and continuous improvement and develop procedures to support them.
  • Maintain a regular presence on the production floor.
  • Participate in production planning and organization.
  • Maintain good human relations with employees, ensure discipline and resolve labour disputes in a fair and equitable manner.
  • Participate in the training and evaluation of employees in your department.
  • Manage and track workplace accidents in your area.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Ensure OSH rules are followed by staff and maintain a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Prepare and complete weekly reports.
  • Carry out any other similar tasks.

Requirements:

  • Have been optimizing / performing / results-oriented.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a production supervisor, preferably in the paint field.
  • Computer knowledge (Word, Excel).
  • Knowledge of the ADP system is an asset.
  • Experience in a unionized environment is preferred.
