The long-term employment outlook for surveyors is considered limited to good, with the provincial location having a great deal of impact on the number of job opportunities available to qualified jobseekers.

Surveyors work for engineering companies and government departments. They can have a central office location to serve as headquarters, and serve as space for drafting, filing and planning. A great deal of their daily work will be spent on location performing hands-on surveying work on various residential, commercial or industrial properties.
