Category Manager Truck & Transit Aftermarket -Heavy Duty Truck Parts.

The Category Manager is responsible for developing and ensuring the execution of the business activities that will enable categories to meet financial, operational and market targets and developing integrated category strategies within the context of Wajax’s business.

-Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends
-Devise long-term development strategies for product categories and develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products
-Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services
-Structure appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands
-Determine the pricing and positioning strategy of a product category to maximize visibility
-Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category
-Collaborate with planners and buyers to monitor current offerings and expand product categories
-Develop forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory

-Education:  University Degree (Bachelors) in Business or Operations Management/Logistics
-Work Experience: 5-7 years working in a Category Manager or similar role.
-Experience in Heavy Duty aftermarket, mainly heavy duty truck parts and/or auto parts business
-Knowledge:  Progressive exposure within a Supply Chain environment (specifically planning and procurement), dedicated and focused on  Category Management practices-Aftermarket heavy duty truck parts.
-Demonstrated negotiation skills and management of multi vendors and programs while developing strong working relationships.
-Proficiency: Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.  Financial acumen and analytic skills required.
