The Fort Vermilion School Division invites applications for an Elementary teaching position.

This full-time teaching role starts August 26th, 2024 to June 9th, 2025.
Terms of Employment:
Contract (ending: 2025-06-09)
Duties/Responsibilities/Skills: As per NOC 41221, Elementary school and kindergarten teachers, Elementary school teacher:
Provide tutoring assistance
Supervise teaching assistants and train student teachers
Assign and correct homework
Develop course content
Evaluate the progress of students and discuss results with students, parents and school officials
Identify childrens' individual learning needs
Lead students in activities to promote their physical, mental and social development and their school readiness
Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences and teacher training workshops
Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help
Prepare subject material for presentation according to an approved curriculum
Prepare, administer and correct tests
Teach students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations and field trips
Salary: 65,397 to 105,897 annually (To be negotiated) / 35 hours per Week
Employment conditions: Day, Early Morning, Morning
Education: Bachelor's degree
Credentials: Provincial Teaching Certificate required
Languages: English
