The Project Director oversees all stages of a construction project. From start to finish, the smooth running of activities rests on his or her shoulders. Supported by a competent team, he or she brilliantly manages the resources on site.
Your vast experience in project management enables you to deal with the most complex situations with calm confidence. Your leadership skills are unquestionable. It's in your nature to make tough decisions, find ingenious solutions and manage conflict.
More specifically, you will :
Manage and coordinate human resources and project logistics with the help of the project manager and superintendent;
Plan and control construction costs;
Establish schedules and monitor progress;
Negotiate and award contracts to subcontractors;
In collaboration with the project manager, ensure site safety;
Check shop drawings;
Manage change notices;
Coordinate site meetings;
Establish and maintain necessary communications with subcontractors, professionals and customer;
Approve subcontractor and supplier invoices, and ensure customer billing;
Archive end-of-project documents and prepare end-of-project manuals to be given to the customer.

The ideal person for this position is :
A construction or civil engineer with 10 years' experience in the field;
A construction veteran: 20 years' experience in managing major projects.
