Junior Desktop Support Technician (3+ years) to provide tier 1 support in a Windows environment

Our Survey and Engineering client is seeking an Junior Desktop Support Technician (3+ years) to provide tier 1 support a Windows environment starting as soon as possible for 3 month contract to start with strong opportunity for extension and converting to a full time employee in the future.

Contractor must come in minimum 5days/week in office

Must-Have:

• 3+ years of IT Support experience setting up Windows machines
• 3+ years experience with imaging new machines and patching
• Experience setting up work stations
• Experience supporting Microsoft Teams
• Experience administering and setting-up users and permissions

Nice-to-have:

• Experience in a Cloud Environment (Azure)

Scope:

• Set up new work stations including imaging new machines
• Respond to inquiries and user issues, provide troubleshooting and configuration support, diagnose and resolve both hardware and software related technical issues remotely and in person.
• Ensure timely and accurate communication to an end user base of ~200 in Calgary and throughout Western Canada
• Log, track, resolve and reroute incidents and close out incidents
• Document procedures, corrective actions and update knowledge base system.

Environment: Windows Server, Windows 10/11, M 365, firewalls, internal imaging tools, Engineering Applications
