Jr. Data Investment Analyst with Private Equity Valuations to extract relevant Valuations data from Excel and pdf files for our large financial client - 5826

Contract: 6 months

Location: Downtown Toronto (Hybrid 3x/week)

Hours: 40hrs/week

Group: Risk Division

What you will do:

• Understand and extract relevant data from the Valuations Excel and pdf files, create template to extract relevant information to build dashboard using Python(cash flows, terminal values, discount rates, equity beta, debt equity ratios, list of peers, peers multiples, etc.)
• Running Python code to update existing dashboards.
• Provide feedback on how the databases can accommodate existing data and whether anything else of relevance is available.

Must haves:

• 2+ year as a Data Investment Analyst
• Python for creating dashboards
• Strong Excel Skills - Data Evaluation (Evaluating and extracting data from Excel and PDF files)
• Knowledge of (cash flows, terminal values, discount rates, equity beta, debt equity ratios, list of peers, peers multiples, etc.)
• Previous experience with databases, unstructured data (exposure to programming or, a course in Logic or Set operations, are considered equivalent)

Nice to haves:

• A degree (bachelor or graduate) with at least one Corporate Finance course (CFA Level II or business exposure to privates’ valuation process is considered equivalent)
• Exposure to Programming (Python code but not a requirement)
• Experience debugging issues
