We are looking to hire an Intermediate Scrum Master to support the EPMO on Agile/Scrum practices for a P&C Insurance client

Location: Toronto - Hybrid

Permanent full time position

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for development of an Integrated Project/Sprint Plan and successful delivery of confirmed scope on time and on budget.
• Proactively manage risks, issues, and change to support teams and ensure successful project and delivery of backlog items.
• Facilitate daily standups, scrum of scrums, product owner synchronization, sprint planning, sprint review, sprint refinements, sprint demos and sprint retrospectives.
• Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the backlog is well-maintained and prioritized for maximum delivery.
• Participate in prioritization meetings & quarterly planning to understand pricing priorities and the tie back to business plan to effectively manage multiple streams of work at one time.
• Participate in scaling agile practices across the line of business
• Provide technical agile guidance and support to the team, leveraging your understanding of software development lifecycle, practices, and tools.
• Ensure the development team is practicing the core Agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and visibility.
• Create & present status messaging to a variety of stakeholders including senior leaders and C-suite executives.
• Understands business needs and guide scrum team to deliver on appropriate epics and stories.

Must Haves:

• 5+ years Scrum Master experience
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or similar Agile certification required (Scaled Agile - SAFe certified)
• Agile principles and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in Property and Casualty Insurance industry
• Experienced with Guidewire Cloud platform (Policy Center, Billing Center & Claims Center) is an asset.
• Prior technical background as a software developer or engineer is a plus.
