Ensuring alignment with TIS approved technological solutions and services is key. This requires a good understanding of Finance business processes (budgeting, forecasting, etc) as well as the Finance’s applications landscapeRepresent the Finance Team in functional / technical conversations related to future project implementations for GDSAct as the Technical Trusted Advisor for Finance with regards to the quality of Finance’s data and the operation of its IT solutions. This may entail the need to review technical artifacts and provide recommendationsMonitor the Issues Log and Enhancements backlog to ensure timely resolution of current issues and a structured implementation of enhancements. Manage PowerBI semantic layer by monitoring connections to AzureDB and various source systems to ensure financial & operational data used for reporting is accurate and uninterrupted. This requires a solid understanding of Finance’s technology landscape (Oracle R12, Azure, PowerBI, PowerON, AzureDB)Act as Finance delegate with regards to data governance and data management framework designManage various AzureDB, and PowerBI input files to ensure accurate flow of manual adjustments and hierarchy updates in reporting layer.Conduct testing and problem solving of system data for accuracy as new projects or upgrades are requiredValidate to ensure all applicable data is present from source systems to target systems. Ensuring integrity of cross-application and cross-legacy informationWork with ERP functional SMEs to augment ERP, AzureDB, and PowerBI functionality through other solutions to support reporting requirements of utilitiesWho You Are:Post-secondary degree (computer science or engineering)Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills demonstrated by multiple implementations of IT solutions as well as experience with applications support / maintenanceFive to seven years’ experience in Finance applications management including other areas of the businessAbility to work with a high degree of independence and initiative with an ability to manage multiple prioritiesWork effectively with others, analyze issues & solve problems, support strategy, implement change, improve work practices, meet stakeholder needsExperience using OracleR12, AzureDB, SQL, and PowerBI (PowerQuery, DAX) .
