Our team of experienced draftsmen/designers will be able to supervise you and support you in the performance of your duties. We are committed to you for the long term!!!

With our working schedule you will be off on Friday afternoons:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Friday 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Your main responsibility will be to design our products and make the appropriate shop drawings.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to conceptualize, design and develop sheet metal assemblies;
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar tools;
  • Ensure designs comply with industry standards, customer specifications, and manufacturing requirements;
  • Perform design analyses to optimize designs in terms of cost, manufacturability and performance;
  • Generate bills of materials and purchase requisitions for procurement;
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to provide support during manufacturing and installation processes;
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback;
  • Participate in continuous improvement in the department.

Requirements and working conditions

  • Bachelor's degree or technical degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a draftsman/sheet metal designer or in a similar role in sheet metal product manufacturing.
  • Proficient in CAD/CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
  • Solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniques, materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Knowledge of refrigeration (asset)
  • Experience in CNC machine programming (asset)
  • Knowledge of metric and imperial measurement systems;
  • Good learning ability;
  • Demonstrate diligence and punctuality;
  • Available to work overtime.
