Drafting and Design Technician

Come join the Diamond team. We offer you a fully bilingual (English/French) working environment. We manufacture high-end stainless steel products that need to be designed and drafted with care. Your talent will be put to work to help us carry out our projects and impress our clients! Since we work with 99.9% stainless steel, we need your experience to optimize our designs in order to reduce our manufacturing costs. Our team of experienced draftsmen/designers will be able to supervise you and support you in the performance of your duties. We are committed to you for the long term!!!

With our working schedule you will be off on Friday afternoons:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Friday 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Your main responsibility will be to design our products and make the appropriate shop drawings.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to conceptualize, design and develop sheet metal assemblies;
• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar tools;
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, customer specifications, and manufacturing requirements;
• Perform design analyses to optimize designs in terms of cost, manufacturability and performance;
• Generate bills of materials and purchase requisitions for procurement;
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to provide support during manufacturing and installation processes;
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback;
• Participate in continuous improvement in the department.
